interactive wall structure
11 / 11 / 2017
Interactive Wall Structure(s) is a common research project of two PhD students: Danica Pišteková and Kristína Rypáková, in cooperation with colleagues and students of Architecture at Academy of fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The inter-disciplinary research project explores todays borders of architecture and tests new materials to elaborate new design methods: from digital design to haptical fabrication of final object(s) in scale 1:1. The output-object: soft analogue knitted/woven wall or division of space, a cloud structure, non geometry, non controllable aggregate or mouldable truss structure, whose skin and structure are not autonomous entities, but they are in a hybrid interactive relationship – dialogue.
